What New Technologies We Have Used To Grow Our Business In 2016

Table of Contents

New technologies and methods are developed every day but these are the some of the tools we’ve used throughout the year to grow and develop.

Buffer

Buffer is simple and slick social media content sharing platform. It really helped our ability to grow digital by boosting our web traffic by 2.5% than last year by sharing our evergreen content. Evergreen content is web content like blog posts that can be shared at any point in time and it will be still relevant. You should try to keep this in mind when writing your online content to grow your business, “is this post timeless?”

Google Drive

Sometimes we need to work on one document together at the same time. With Google Drive, you can do that very easily; This tool allows you to create online documents, presentations, spreadsheets and then store all these files plus video files, images and well almost every other file type. There is not one person that doesn’t use Google Drive in the EMS family specially as we are growing and working from several different offices.

WP Engine

Going back to our one of our first points. “It really helped our ability to grow digital by boosting our web traffic by 2.5% than last year by sharing our evergreen content” WP Engine has allowed us to cope with a high influx of web traffic and definitely given us more creative options for our website in the future.

IFTTT

I’ll admit not everyone uses IFTTT’s but when we do they are really handy, by doing simple tasks for us. For example, you can automatically save new email attachments in Gmail to Google Drive and other simple tasks like these can be done without you having to do anything.

Kanbanchi

Kanbanchi is digital Kaban board. A kanban board is broke up into 3 sections To do, Doing and Done. you put your tasks on put your tasks on a post-it note and put them in the section they need to be in and move them along the board till they are done. It has really helped my job role to visualise my workload as I deal with a lot of web development, making content for social media and making content for training workshops to grow our business to come up with new, bigger and better ideas.
