How a £20 Meta Advert Helped Lifetime Windows Secure £50,000 of Work

Rachel Rafiq from Lifetime Windows, a family-run North Yorkshire business manufacturing and installing windows, doors and conservatories. The company has served customers across the region since 1981.

Rachel joined the Immediate Impact Skills Bootcamp to strengthen the company’s digital marketing, improve its online presence and create a more consistent approach to social media.

Lifetime Windows already used platforms such as Meta, Instagram and Google Business Profile, but Rachel wanted to make better use of them.

The company’s Google Business Profile contained only basic information, while its social media activity needed clearer planning and a wider mix of content.

Rachel also wanted to gain the confidence to set up paid advertising herself and understand how it could support enquiries and sales.

How the Course Helped

During the skills bootcamp, Rachel learned how to plan and run paid advertising through Meta. She also developed a clearer approach to managing the company’s Google Business Profile and social media content.

Following the course, Rachel:

  • Set up and ran paid Meta advertising
  • Added photographs, products and reviews to the Google Business Profile
  • Began creating more reels and video content for Instagram
  • Collected photographs when installations were completed
  • Started building a library of content for future posts
  • Created a timetable covering what to post and when
  • Became more consistent with the company’s social media activity

The training gave Rachel the knowledge and confidence to apply what she had learned directly within her role.

The Results

One Meta advert, which cost just £20, helped Lifetime Windows secure £50,000 worth of work.

Improvements to the company’s Google Business Profile also brought more people to its website and generated new enquiries.

Rachel’s content timetable has made posting more consistent, while gathering photographs from completed installations has given the business a steady supply of material for reels, videos and future posts.

Rachel’s Experience

“I now feel confident setting up paid ads through Meta.”

Rachel has also found that having a clear timetable has helped her maintain a regular posting schedule and stick to the company’s content plan.
