Course Overview
Level 3 Diploma in Counselling Skills is designed to develop counselling skills, increase self-awareness and implement self-care. The course includes theory and practical sessions providing you realistic experiences to become a confident, skilled and professional helper.

The course structure is carefully crafted to increase your self-awareness, develop your ability to employ counselling skills responsibly, and encourage continuous personal development. Our program ensures a supportive learning environment where you will practice these skills through realistic scenarios.
What’s more, you will learn the importance of self-care, a vital element in your journey towards becoming a professional helper. You will be encouraged to reflect on your values, beliefs, and behaviours to foster growth, not only as a professional but also on a personal level.

Who Should Take This Course
People who find this course particularly useful are those in a functional role, for example: personal trainers, nurses, life coaches, carers, human resources, teaching, and anyone who has ambitions to go on to become a counsellor. The applications of this course are so wide ranging since the key skills (reflection, communication, relationship building, listening, trust) are essential for so many people in so many industries.
Please note, this course alone is not a route to the Accredited Register nor does it fully equip you to practice as a qualified counsellor. In order to fully qualify, you would need to progress onto attendance Level 4 (or equivalent) training.
