How do I request a grey verification badge for my Page?
If you haven’t yet got around to verifying your Facebook Page – you need to get on it! Verifying your Facebook Page gives it that little tick/checkmark next to your business name. But it’s way more than that.
It shows that Facebook has verified your details and has confirmed the Page as genuine (or at least that the details you have provided about your Page, were able to be matched against information that Facebook can check).
And in addition to looking more trustworthy (which we know customers rightly love to see), your Page will show higher in Facebook’s search results – which is a welcome boost from the social giant.
It makes sense, Facebook wants users to feel confident about the businesses they’re interacting with leading to the sticking around more. And with the new features Facebook is rolling out all the time, it seems pretty obvious that they’re wanting you to stick around for as long as possible.
Dealing with the issue of credibility, why wouldn’t you want your business page verified? Many of the businesses that I come across haven’t done this yet and look, this is not an issue of vanity, this is a huge missed opportunity – so don’t put this off any longer.

How do I verify my Page if I don’t have a publicly listed phone number?
You can choose to upload a business document instead. This should be a picture of an official document showing your business’s name and address (tax bill, phone bill etc.). When you select that option, there will be a short delay while someone checks your documents.
Once this is done, you’ll enjoy having your Page name shown with the grey tick showing that your brand is verified.
